Hope Town, Abaco

The Islands of the Bahamas

The jewel of the Abacos, the picturesque village of Hope Town on the island of Elbow Cay, is famous for its bright pastel cottages, narrow streets, bed and breakfast inns, sandy beaches and dunes.  First settled by British Loyalists from New England and the Carolinas, this peaceful and quiet retreat is a short ferry ride from the main island.  This area is a prime real estate location in the Bahamas and a number of beachfront residences and cottages in town double as vacation rentals during the winter season.
