Arts for the Parks - Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco
Friday Jan 23rd 2015 - Sunday Jan 25th 2015
This local Bahamas event gives one a chance to be a part of an amazing cause, to save and support the six National Parks in The Abacos. A wide selection of fine, unique creations, from a host of Bahamian artists and artisans, will be available. Other highlights will be a silent auction, a Bahamian Heritage Lecture Series, and live entertainment. Venue is the beautiful Abaco Beach Resort Marque, Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco.

The beauty of art and nature will collide as an elite group of talented Bahamian artists gather at Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina for the Art for the Parks festival January 23-25, 2015. This annual event, held in collaboration between Abaco Beach Resort, the Bahamas National Trust and corporate sponsors, brings together over thirty of the Bahamas most recognized artists and craftsman. The festival provides both residents and visitors a unique opportunity to view and purchase artwork while raising awareness and funding for the preservation of Abaco’s six national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

Reef Ball - Abaco Inn, Hope Town

The Reef Ball is an Abaco event which was created to help protect the environment of the Abacos. The Reef Ball brings people together with the common interest of protecting the natural beauty of the Abaco's environment. The evening offers a scrumptious dinner, dancing with live band, and a Live and Silent Auction.

3rd Annual Hope Town Patrick Davis Songwriters Festival
Thursday February 17th, 2015 - Saturday February 21st, 2015
This Bahamas event features young and upcoming musical artists from around the world. These aspiring music ledgends hail from Nashville, North and South Carolina, and they have written songs for popular music artists including Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, and Martina McBride. The festival features these songwriters preforming their own songs live for your entertainment.

Abaco “Love Rush” Junkanoo Weekend
Friday February 20th, 2015 - Saturday February 21st, 2015
This exciting cultural event brings both visitors and locals to the streets of Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco, to see Senior and Junior Junkanoo groups parade. They will compete to win the attention of spectators and most importantly the judges, through their elaborate costumes, dance moves and soul touching music, with hopes of being the best group on the island. The event is held over a two-night period, with the junior category held on the first night and the senior on the last night.

Reef Ball - Jib Room, Marsh Harbour

The Reef Ball is an Abaco event designed to help protect the environment of the Abacos. Great Abaco Family Fitness Weekend
Friday March 20th, 2015 - Sunday March 22nd, 2015
A range of organized sporting activities will be included in this weekend of fun that encourages participation by all family members. There will be a 1-mile open water swim, 5k Sprint & Olympic Distance Triathlon, and 5k/10k/Run/Walk. Participants can choose to compete individually or on relay teams where awards will be presented to the top performers. Venue is Treasure Cay Resort in Great Abaco.

Island Roots Heritage Festival
Friday May 1st, 2015 - Sunday May 3rd, 2015
This annual event has become a hit throughout the historic New Plymouth settlement, showcasing and celebrating its sister-city relationship with Key West, Florida. It is a fun-filled, educational festival providing lots of information about the relationship between the two cities, with speakers, displays, and a Genealogy Research Center. There will also be delicious local dishes, a great selection of Bahamian entertainment, a variety of beautiful straw creations, and one-of-a-kind art pieces. Venue is New Plymouth on Green Turtle Cay.

Bahamas Billfish Championship (BBC) at Green Turtle Cay
Tuesday May 5th, 2015 - Saturday May 9th, 2015
Anglers will be docking and fishing off the shores of Green Turtle Cay while competing in the second leg of the BBC tournament. These are superb fishing grounds, and participants will also have much to do and see during their time on the cay.

Bahamas Billfish Championship (BBC) at Marsh Harbour
Wednesday June 10th, 2015 - Saturday June 13th, 2015
The final leg of the Bahamas Billfish Championships, sponsored by Rolex, normally attracts scores of seasoned and crafty deep-sea fishermen, all vying for the hundreds of thousands of dollars in prizes and cash. Participants and spouses on this leg of the championship will have the opportunity to experience the nightlife scene, excellent shopping, and many dining options in Marsh Harbour, Great Abaco.

Abaco Annual Lionfish Derby
Friday June 26th, 2015 - Saturday June 27th, 2015
The goal of this annual initiative is to protect our waters by controlling the numbers of invasive lionfish in a fun and educational competition. Up for grabs will be cash and prizes, along with the opportunity to enjoy a taste of the lionfish cooked on the spot.

The Abaco Regatta
Saturday June 27th, 2015 - Monday June 29th, 2015
Class A, B, C, D, and E native sloops will compete in a series of races.

Annual Five Towns Regatta Time in Abaco
Friday July 3rd, 2015 – Saturday July 11th, 2015
Kicking off with the famous Fiddle Cay Beach Party, hosted by “Stranded Naked,” this exciting racing series links the American and Bahamian Independence Day celebrations. Beginning in Green Turtle Cay and ending in Marsh Harbour, it features primarily American sloops and attracts dozens of sailing enthusiasts to The Abacos.

Abaco Open Water Swim Race
Saturday October 10th, 2015
Professional and non-professional swimmers of all ages are invited to compete in this event. The race course is located in the waterway of Marsh Harbour near Albury’s Ferry and is 5K in length. Persons can also sign up to compete in the paddle board and kayak challenge. The post race celebration will include great music, food, drinks and awards.
