Joan Braithwaite

Joan Braithwaite joined the Eleuthera office of Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty in 2015 after she and her husband discovered that the “second home” they’d been visiting for more than a decade was fast becoming their first love rather than a mere vacation spot. As a professionally trained artist with a Master of Arts in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Superior, Joan is continually captivated by the charm and vibrant colors of Eleuthera and takes great pride in educating her clients, not only on the buying and selling process of luxury homes, but on the island’s unique culture and history. Relying on her sharp eye for detail, a natural affinity for making personal connections and insightful intuition, Joan artfully guides her clients through the entirety of a real estate transaction, never losing sight of their objectives before settling on their perfect residential match. In her spare time, Joan explores the human experience through her paintings depicting the island lifestyle, as well as allegory which is apparent in her mermaid pieces. She also enjoys listening to live music, and supports local charities such as Freedom to Read, an international reading initiative.
