James has specialized in luxury resort services, hospitality, tourism and real estate sales and development for over 25 years, where exceeding client expectations is his simple philosophy and has been paramount to his unique successes. With his roots and a respected family history going back nearly 70 years on Harbour Island, James’ childhood was spent in and around his family’s famed hotel, THE PINK SANDS LODGE. Raised in an environment focused on hospitality and unparalleled customer service, James’ dedication to fostering lasting client relationships is second nature. Holding a degree in International Management from a Florida university, James then studied at the noted Universite de Reims (Champagne-Ardennes), France in 1989. French became a lifelong passion and an accomplished 2nd language for him. James, with his performance oriented persona, held top management positions at a number of renowned four and five star resort properties in US and The Bahamas - including Pink Sands Resort in 1995-1997. James has traveled the world, building effective business relationships whilst delivering incredible incentive travel experiences for even the most discerning of corporate travel clients. In 2008, after 3.5 years as Executive Director with The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, overseeing the $250 million Group Travel market, James joined forces with renowned developer and community founders, Orjan & Amanda Lindroth in Abaco at the picturesque Schooner Bay Harbour Village. Over a 5 year period, James directed $20 million in real estate sales at the DPZ & Co. planned urbanist community & resort town development. As part of his many endeavors at Schooner Bay, James also oversaw the design, construction and successful management of The Sandpiper Inn, as well as founded a property, vacation and destination management company. Representing Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty in Harbour Island as a full time real estate professional is a natural transition for James. His extensive knowledge of the Harbour Island community combined with his impressive sales and marketing experience, enables him to offer invaluable assistance to his clients searching for their dream home in Harbour Island. Now an empty nester, James enjoys taking his clients out to the fly-fishing flats for Bonefish. He is also an avid skin diver, enjoys sailing, boating, blue water fishing, as well as horticulture and Bahamian history. James has been a member of Rotary Club of East Nassau for 9 years and is recognized as a Paul Harris Fellow.
